ABOUT NOTENZ

Built for the question nobody wants to think about

What happens to the people who depend on you, financially, emotionally, practically, if you suddenly can't be there? Most people never answer that question. Not because they don't care, but because the tools to answer it didn't exist.

Notenz is an automated check-in service for your digital life. You store what matters: bank details, passwords, final wishes, insurance documents, messages to the people you love. It's all encrypted so only your recipients can ever read it. You check in on a schedule you set. If you stop checking in, Notenz waits through a grace period, tries to reach you across multiple channels, and then delivers your vault to the right people automatically.

No lawyers required. No notaries. No complex legal process. Just a private, encrypted record of what you want people to know, delivered when they need it most.

Why encryption?

Your vault contents are encrypted before they ever reach our servers. Guardian users get zero-knowledge encryption for their Sealed Vault, meaning Notenz never holds the key. Standard vault items are encrypted at rest and decrypted only at the moment your vault executes and delivers to your recipients. Either way, Notenz is not in the business of reading your private notes.

Who is this for?

Anyone with people who depend on them. Parents, caregivers, sole breadwinners, freelancers with important client information, anyone who holds information others might urgently need. You don't have to be elderly or unwell to think about this, because accidents and emergencies don't announce themselves.

Who's behind Notenz

Notenz is built and run by Klarschritt. We built this after seeing how often critical information, accounts, passwords, final wishes, just gets lost when someone can't speak for themselves anymore. Not from anything dramatic, just life being unpredictable.

It's a small, independent project. No VC, no team behind a support queue. Emails to [email protected] come straight to us, and we read every one.
