Burn-After-Reading: Self-Destructing Message Link

Create a free, one-time secret link to share a password, API key, or private note. Encrypted in your browser, stored ephemerally, and destroyed the moment it's read.

Need it again next week?

A burn note is for once. For the Wi-Fi code, the landlord's number and the insurance login you both need, keep them in Notenz, shared with your partner. Your documents and notes are encrypted.

Frequently asked questions

Is this self-destructing message tool really free and anonymous?

Yes. No account or email is required to create a one-time secret link. The message is encrypted in your browser before it's sent, so Notenz never sees the plain text or the encryption key.

What happens after the link is opened?

The encrypted note is permanently deleted from the server the moment it's viewed once. There is no way to retrieve it again, even by Notenz staff.

How is this different from a password manager?

This tool is for sharing a secret once, like a temporary password or API key. For the logins and documents your household needs again, Notenz keeps them in one place, shared with your partner. Your documents and notes are encrypted.
