Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded, so your original image never leaves your device.
Does this reduce image quality?
No. Only the hidden metadata is stripped; the visible image data is untouched.
Does PDF cleaning catch everything?
It covers the common fields (author, dates, software used to create the file). PDFs can hide metadata in other places too, such as embedded fonts, XMP data, or revision history, that this tool doesn't guarantee to catch. For full anonymity on a sensitive PDF, consider re-exporting it as an image first.
